Craig Harbison's Artist Profiles
About Craig Harbison
Emeritus Professor at UMass Amherst Craig Harbison (who has also taught at Smith College, Amherst College, Oberlin College, and the University of California Davis) was trained in art history at Oberlin College and Princeton University. He is interested in using words as an initial stimulus for a fuller engagement with the intricacy of non-verbal, visual thinking and feeling. He has embarked on a project to document the creative process and working environments of contemporary Western Massachusetts artists through photography and written profiles.
