 INHABIT / January 2009
In continuation of its 16-year tradition of January Movement Arts, A.P.E. has invited three artists—Candice Salyers, Andrea Olsen, and David Hurwith—to explore the possibilities of moving/making/performing in our new space, Window. Entitled INHABIT, the series will consist of three, week-long residencies, during which each artist will conduct their own distinct investigation of the creative, spatial, and movement possibilities of our Main St. gallery. While the work of these artists will be visible to all who pass by the window, each artist has also designated a time during the residency when the space will be open to the public. (These times are listed below, in bold type). Each week promises unique discoveries of what it is to inhabit a body, a space, and a community. Each week, series curator Kathy Couch will host a conversation with that week’s inhabiting artist.
