In 2006, three young artists moved to Northampton.  Here’s what they came up with this time…

The A.P.E. Gallery at Window, with support from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, is proud to present Design Paddle Patterns, a show of new works by Ali Osborn, Raphy Griswold, and Teddy O”Connor.  Part of a three-part series with the Umass University Gallery and Wünderarts Gallery, this exhibition features a gallery talk moderated by acclaimed critic Gloria Russell, to be held on November 16, 2008.

In 2007, these three young artists designed Will That Be All, a show of visual art exploring the conflict between “kunstwollen” and employment.  This year, they return to the A.P.E. in its newly-opened storefront location on Main Street, Northampton for its inaugural month-long exhibition.  Design Paddle Patterns takes advantage of Northampton’s newest gallery space to bring the latest from these Pioneer Valley pioneers.

Come up the creek to see Design Paddle Patterns!

Ali Osborn, Raphy Griswold, and Teddy O”Connor are all graduates of Wesleyan University with degrees in studio art.  Ali Osborn is manager at Guild Art Supply in Northampton.  Raphy Griswold is a printer at Wingate Studio, fine art print shop in Hinsdale New New Hampshire.  Teddy O”Connor works as the assistant in the Mead Art Museum, Amherst College.  Ali, Raphy, and Teddy work individually and collaboratively at their shared studio in Easthampton, MA.
